The City of Austin is improving the Guadalupe Street corridor, which includes Guadalupe Street (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to West 29th Street), West 24th Street (Guadalupe Street to North Lamar Boulevard), Nueces Street (24th Street to Guadalupe Street), and some additional streets in the West Campus area.
Construction of mobility and safety improvements will occur in phases. The projects are included in the Corridor Construction Program that is funded by the 2016 Mobility Bond.

What To Expect
A postcard we received from the City of Austin tells us that,
"Work could occur daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will require intermittent closures and detours for travel lanes, sidewalks, and bike lanes to make space for crews to work safely."

In our first Reading from the Acts of the Apostles (14:22) for the Fifth Sunday of Easter, we're told that “It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.” So too has it been for us to enter the kingdom of Meta.
We're making a small change to our Facebook presence that will facilitate future social media communications. We've made sure that you'll be able to find weekday and Sunday Masses and other news and event announcements on what, over time, will become our primary page on Facebook.
We ask that you follow us at our new page, St. Austin Catholic Church. Here's a QR code to link you to our new page.
We'll make this transition slow and easy, over the next several months we'll post to both our old and new pages. As mentioned, we'll continue our Mass broadcasts from both pages. In time we hope that our migration of followers and friends will be complete and we'll leave our old page with thanks for having served us well.
This change marks a small step toward incremental improvement to our social media engagement. We'd love to hear from you if you have ideas for us to improve on this or any of our other communication platforms including our website and through our eNews. We appreciate the time you spend in learning what's going on in our community. We hope you'll let us know what you think, or if you'd like to contribute to our communication efforts in any way, by contacting [email protected].
