The Martha Ministry

Through the Martha Ministry, our community  supports families in times of loss and grief. With hospitality and delicious food, the Marthas provide receptions after funerals. Food is prepared and served by an army of volunteers who create a welcoming and comforting environment for families and friends of the deceased. 
 
 Funeral receptions are planned with the family, with food selections and room set-up varying on the anticipated number of mourners.
 
 No special training is required to participate in this ministry.  Volunteers are needed to prepare/send food, set up and clean up the reception room, serve food, and clean the kitchen area. 

All volunteers must be EIM compliant as required by the Diocese of Austin.
