Want to Talk? Communication Tools for Divided Times Friday Mornings, April 14 to May 26
UPDATE: The class will now begin on April 14.
This JustMatters series will guide you in deepening your relationships while staying true to your values, whether you find yourself navigating a heated disagreement with a spouse, interrupting racism in the office, facilitating political tension in church, or working for systemic change around any justice issue. This program draws upon the wisdom of experts in nonviolent communication, civil dialogue, and grassroots organizing, providing practical tools for navigating the political polarization of our time, as well as tough conversations with our loved ones.
In addition to the seven two-hour sessions, participants will take time to implement the skills they've learned into their real relationships.
When: Friday mornings, April 14, 2023 to May 26, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. **If you need to miss couple sessions, that's fine. You can still benefit from the content!**
Where:In-person at the St. Austin Ministry Center (Antioch/Philippi rooms) at 500 W. MLK Blvd.
The course will be co-facilitated by parishioner Julie Frey, who took the course in the Fall of 2022. Other pariticipants will be asked to rotate co-facilitating with her. It's easy; everything is scripted for you! Preparing to co-facilitate takes about 30 minutes of preparation.
