JustFaith

JustFaith is a 30-week course justice formation process that explores Catholic social teaching and the Church's tradition to care for vulnerable people. Through books, films, discussion, prayer and reflection, speakers and face-to-face encounters with persons in need, participants will journey through the intersection of spirituality and Christian activism.

Participants must keep up with weekly reading assignments and take part in prayer, reflection and discussion with 10–15 other parishioners, to attend two in-town retreats and to take part in hands-on experiences with persons in need. Classes are on Monday evenings from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the parish.

Registration closes on September 9 for the 2011-2012 course.

"I stay informed about current events but did not truly appreciate or recognize those souls who were living the events behind the headlines and news statistics.  Having my mind opened has, in turn, opened my heart to these 'unknown souls' and helped me to see them as my brothers and sisters in Christ.  JustFaith has challenged me to grow in my faith in my solidarity with others."
